At HEART Animal Welfare Society, we believe that true change begins in the mind—and the earlier, the better.
While many animal organizations focus on sheltering or rescue, HEART goes further. We address the root cause of animal abandonment and cruelty: the lack of education, compassion, and responsibility.
HEART is Malaysia’s unique animal welfare movement that goes beyond rescue. We focus on prevention through education and on empowering the unsung heroes—rescuers—who save lives every day despite limited resources. By combining education, community action, and global standards of humane treatment, HEART positions itself as a pioneering force in animal welfare—not only in Malaysia, but as a model for the region and beyond.

Prevention is the foundation of HEART. Through our Animal Heroes Program, we reach children and youth from kindergarten to university with creative lessons, interactive workshops, and empathy-building activities. By nurturing compassion early, we shape a generation that will naturally champion animal rights for years to come.
Independent rescuers are the unsung heroes of animal welfare, yet many struggle due to limited resources. HEART’s 3T Program (Trim, Treat, Thrive) ensures they are not alone. We provide access to spay-neuter campaigns, vaccination and deworming support, and partnerships with veterinary clinics—empowering rescuers to sustain their work and save even more lives.
HEART believes real change is only possible when communities, corporates, NGOs, and veterinary professionals unite. That’s why we partner with veterinary clinics, corporate sponsors, schools, and other NGOs to organize spay-neuter drives, vaccination programs, awareness campaigns, and CSR projects. Collaboration transforms small efforts into nationwide, systemic change.
HEART turns compassion into action at every level of society. Through community outreach, volunteering opportunities, and corporate training workshops, we empower individuals and organizations to embrace responsible and compassionate practices. Our corporate programs are designed to integrate animal welfare into workplace culture, making compassion a shared value across industries.
